Women's Tennis Returns to Winning Ways With Win Over Carroll
Hand the Pioneers Just Their Second Lose of the Season

WAUKESHA, WI - Lake Forest bounced back from a 8-1 loss to Beloit on Monday (September 25th) with a 7-2 win over Carroll College (WI) on Tuesday (September 26th) in a Midwest Conference women's tennis cross-over game. 

The Foresters (5-2) have outscored their opponents 15-3 after losses this season. 

Carroll (9-2) won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, including a third set tie-breaker win by Lauren Huber over Shannon Sobieski (Fox Point, WI/Nicolet) at the top of the line-up, but Lake Forest controlled the bottom portion of the singles play draw and won all three doubles matches. The Foresters outscored the Poineers 24-9 in doubles action.

Angie Kral (Brookfield, WI/Brookfield Central), Sarah Roberts (Plainfield, IL/Lyons Township), and Jamie Irons (Neenah, WI/Neenah) each won both their singles and doubles matches. 

Lake Forest will host Trinity International University (IL) on Thursday (September 28th) for their next match.
