LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women’s tennis player Jaime Jackson (Milwaukee, WI/Divine Savior-Holy Angels) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (September 22) after winning each of her four singles and three doubles matches over the last seven days.

Jackson, a sophomore, was perfect in the Foresters’ first match of the previous week on Thursday (September 15), a 9-0 victory over visiting Wisconsin Lutheran College. She teamed with freshman Anne Demere (Savannah, GA/Saint Vincent's Academy) for an 8-0 win at number three doubles and then defeated her number six singles opponent 6-0, 6-0.

The following day Lake Forest hosted and defeated Ripon College 9-0. Jackson played in singles only and prevailed 6-1, 6-3 at number five.

The Foresters moved to 2-1 in Midwest Conference South Division play with a 6-3 win at home over Monmouth College on Saturday (September 17). She joined senior Jill Chudacoff (Highland Park, IL/Highland Park) for a 6-3, 6-4 victory at number three doubles and she knocked off her number six singles opponent 6-3, 6-1.

Finally, Jackson was at least partially responsible for both of Lake Forest’s team points in the squad’s 7-2 loss at Carthage College on Wednesday (September 21). She and senior Brittany Richardson (Little Rock, AR/Central) prevailed 8-5 at number two doubles and she extended her singles winning streak to five matches with a 6-4, 6-0 win at number six.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by members of the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
