September 15th, 2000 Contact: Scott Rucker, SID Women's Tennis Blanks Lawrence, 9-0 LAKE FOREST, IL - The Lake Forest women's tennis team won for the 10th time in their last 11 outings and improved to 2-0 on the 2000 season with a 9-0 shutout over inter-division foe Lawrence on Friday (September 15th). The match was the first of four matches in four days for the Foresters. Lake Forest did not drop a set in the match and outscored LU 75-24. Individual winners for Lake Forest included Kendra Reilly at No.1 singles, Sarah Roberts at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles, Robyn Slater at No. 3 singles, Laura Lauterbach at No. 4 singles and No. 2 doubles, Shannon Sobieski at No. 1 doubles, and Jamie Irons at No. 1 doubles. It was the first action of the season for Slater and Lauterbach. The Foresters will be back in action tomorrow (September 16th) when they host Illinois College at 1:00. It will be the MWC South Division opener for Lake Forest, the defending conference champions.
