Lake Forest Falls to Visiting St. Norbert College
Team will host Monmouth tomorrow

Lauren Stroner
LAKE BLUFF, Ill. - The Forester women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to visiting St. Norbert College on Saturday (October 3). Lake Forest is now 8-4 this season while the Green Knights raised their record to 5-5.

The match began at Lake Forest College but was moved to the Racquet Club of Lake Bluff during doubles play because of rain. The format of the singles matches was also shortened due to court availability.

St. Norbert came out on top in all three doubles matches.

The Foresters won just two of six singles matches. Senior Molly Stapleton (St. Louis Park, Minn./Saint Louis Park) prevailed 6-2 at #3 and junior Lauren Stroner (Johnsburg, Ill./Johnsburg) triumphed 8-4 at #5.

Lake Forest will host Monmouth College at noon on Sunday (October 4). A victory would clinch second place in the Midwest Conference South Division for the Foresters and a spot in the MWC Championship Tournament.
