Mei-Yun Gibson Named MWC Defensive Performer of the Week
Senior sweeper helped Foresters shut out St. Norbert on the road

Mei-Yun Gibson is a three-time MWC Defensive POW.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College senior Mei-Yun Gibson (Aurora, CO/Eaglecrest) was named Midwest Conference Women’s Soccer Defensive Performer of the Week Tuesday (September 7).
Gibson plays sweeper for the Foresters, who recorded an important 1-0 league victory at rival St. Norbert College last Saturday (September 4). Lake Forest had not won a game on the Green Knights’ field since September 7, 1996.
It marks the third time in the last two seasons that Gibson has earned the league’s weekly award, which is selected by the league’s sports information directors.
