Bri Schleibinger Named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week
Freshman saved 17 of 18 shots on goal and recorded first career shutout

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lake Forest College women's soccer player Bri Schleibinger (Spring Grove, Ill./Richmond Burton) was named Midwest Conference Defensive Performers of the Week on Monday (September 28) for her performance during the previous seven days.

Schleibinger, a goalkeeper, kept the Foresters in the game by recording a season-high 10 saves in a 1-0 loss to Carthage College at home on Wednesday. Her previous high for a contest was eight.

The freshman then registered seven stops in a 4-0 blanking of Lawrence University on Sunday. It was the first complete game shutout of her career and raised the Foresters’ conference record to 2-1-0.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information directors.
