Loss at Carthage is First of the Year for Lake Forest
Team falls 2-0 in non-conference action

KENOSHA, WI - The Forester women’s soccer team suffered its first loss of the 2005 season Wednesday (September 21), a 2-0 decision at Carthage College. Lake Forest is now 7-1-0 on the season while the Lady Reds raised their mark to 3-2-2.

Carthage scored a goal in each half. The first came in the game’s 11th minute and the second in the 77th.

The Foresters’ goalkeeper, junior Kristyne Operzedek (Deerfield, IL/Deerfield), tallied a season-high eight saves in the contest.

Lake Forest will put its 3-0-0 Midwest Conference record on the line Saturday (September 24) afternoon at home against Lawrence University. The Parents’ Day game will begin at 1:00.
