Alison Lynch Named Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week
Junior recorded a pair of shutouts on the week

LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Lake Forest College women’s soccer player Alison Lynch (Dunlap, Ill./Peoria Notre Dame) was selected Midwest Conference Defensive Performer of the Week on Monday (September 10) for her performance in the Foresters’ three games last week.

Lynch, a junior, began the week by tallying a career-high 11 saves in the Foresters’ 0-0 tie at Concordia University Wisconsin on Tuesday (September 4).

On Thursday (September 6) Lake Forest fell 3-1 at Milwaukee School of Engineering and Lynch added five more saves to her season total.

Finally, the Foresters opened Midwest Conference play with a 5-0 victory at Ripon College on Saturday (September 8). Lynch needed just one save to record her seventh shutout in a dozen career starts.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director.
