Cassie George Named Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week
Sophomore sweeper wins league's first weekly award of the season

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women's soccer player Cassie George (Shelburne, VT/Berkshire School) was selected as the Midwest Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 3-9th.

George led a Lake Forest defense that allowed just four shot attempts in two games. In a 4-1 win at North Park on Wednesday, the Vikings scored a goal just 7 minutes into the game, but were held scoreless the rest of the way. They managed just four shot attempts the entire game. On Saturday, in a 7-0 victory
over Knox, the Prairie Fire had no shot attempts against the Forester defense.
