After IC tied the score at the 21:45 mark, Stevenson scored a goal of her own in the 32nd minute to give the Foresters the lead for good. Another freshman, Breanne Kuenzi (Las Vegas, NV/Bonanza), earned the assist on Stevenson's eighth goal of the year.

Junior Aviva Landin (Evanston, IL/Evanston Township), Kuenzi, and freshman Laura Gross (Skokie, IL/Niles West) each added goals for Lake Forest. Junior Stephanie Fink (Menasha, WI/St. Mary Central) recorded her second assist of the season and 14th of her career, moving her into a tie for ninth on the school's all-time list. She also ranks 10th in career points with 48. Sophomore Lauren McHugh (Buffalo, NY/Buffalo Seminary) also assisted on one of the Foresters' goals.

Freshman goalkeeper Bethany Aicken (Louisville, KY/Butler Traditional) allowed just one goal to earn her first career victory.
