Foresters Drop 2-1 Decision at North Park University
Eisenberg scores third goal of the season

Chicago, Ill. – The Lake Forest College women’s soccer team fell 2-1 at North Park University Wednesday (October 11) night. The Foresters are now 5-5-0 this season while the Vikings raised their record to 3-8-2.

The Foresters scored the game’s first goal with just 95 seconds remaining in the first half. Junior Helen Eisenberg (Albuquerque, N.M./Bosque School) gave the visitors a lead with her third goal of the season. She was assisted by sophomore Caty von Brecht (Cumberland, Maine/North Yarmouth Academy).

North Park evened the score in the 61st minute and then took the lead with 16:12 left in the contest.

Senior Kristyne Operzedek (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield) was credited with 11 saves in the game.

Lake Forest will resume Midwest Conference play this weekend (October 14-15) with a game at Grinnell College Saturday at 11:00 a.m. and another at home against Beloit College Sunday afternoon at 1:00.
