Kerry Gotowka
LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College women’s hockey player Kerry Gotowka (West Simsbury, Conn./Westminster School) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (January 31) for her performance in a pair of victories over visiting Adrian College last weekend (January 26-27).

Gotowka began the weekend by scoring the final goal in Lake Forest’s 3-1 triumph on Saturday. It occurred with 3:43 remaining in the contest and all but clinched the victory.

The senior defenseman assisted on the first goal in Sunday’s 4-0 blanking of the Bulldogs. She also scored a power play goal with 1:51 to play in the game and added an assist with 18 second left on the clock. It was the first three-point game of her career.

Gotowka ranks second on this year’s team with 11 points and tied-for-second with seven goals, one more than in the last three seasons combined. She is tied for fourth in the nation with six power play goals and ranks tied-for-14 among the country’s defensemen in points per game.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
