Lake Forest Sweeps Hamline
Foresters outscore Hamline, 10-3, in the two games

SAINT PAUL, MN - Visiting Lake Forest College picked up a two-game series sweep over Hamline University over the weekend (January 26-27). 

Lake Forest (6-7-1) pulled their overall record to within one game of .500 with the pair of victories.

During Friday's 6-1 win, Lydia Groskin (Stowe, VT) and Robyn Slater (Granite City, IL) each scored a pair of goals. Laura Beebe (Sudbury, MA) added a goal and an assist, while Kathy Eckhardt (Colorado Springs, CO) tallied the game-winner.

Lake Forest out-shot Hamline, 34-28, and Theresa Taylor (Spartanburg, SC) had 27 saves to record the win.

On Saturday, Beebe's third goal on the weekend gave the Foresters a two-goal cushion with just under five minutes to play and Lake Forest held on for a 4-2 win. 

Taylor recorded 46 saves on Saturday and finished the two-game series with a 96.1% save percentage.

Lake Forest's next action will come during a two-game series at UW-River Falls next Friday (February 2nd) and Saturday (February 3rd).
