Theresa Taylor Named NCHA Player of the Week
Goalie recorded team's first-ever NCHA shutout
  

Theresa Taylor was named NCHA Player of the Week.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College women's hockey player Theresa Taylor (Spartanburg, SC/National Sports Academy) was named Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Week Tuesday (January 14) for her contributions to the Foresters' 2-0 victory and 4-4 tie at UW-Eau Claire over the weekend (January 10-11).

On Friday, the junior goaltender stopped 27 shots on goal to record her second shutout in the last three games. It was the first-ever shutout for Lake Forest against an NCHA opponent.

On Saturday, Taylor recorded another 36 saves in the 4-4 tie. For the weekend, she stopped 63 of 67 shots on goal (94.0%) and had a goals-against-average of 1.92.

Taylor is 8-3-3 this season with a save percentage of .931 and a 2.03 GAA.

It marked the second time this season and third in her career that Taylor received the honor.

The NCHA Player of the Week is selected by the league's sports information director.
