Theresa Taylor Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Freshman goaltender beats nation's ninth-ranked team on Saturday

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College freshman women's hockey player Theresa Taylor (Spartanburg, SC) has been named the Forester Athlete of the Week for the week of February 8th-14th. 

Taylor led the Foresters to a win over UW-Superior, who entered the game ranked ninth in the nation according to U.S. College Hockey Online, on Saturday (February 10th). She played all 60 minutes and stopped 40 of 41 shots on goal (97.6% save percentage), including 17 saves in the final period.

On Friday (February 9th), Taylor had 30 saves in a 3-1 loss to UW-Superior.

The weekend split secured a Northern Collegiate Hockey Association playoff spot for the Foresters. The four-team tournament will be held March 2nd-3rd in River Falls, WI. Lake Forest will be the fourth seed.

The Lake Forest College Athletic Department selects the Forester Athlete of the Week each Thursday.
