Lizzy Bauer Named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week
Senior was the MVP of the McWilliams Classic over the weekend

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College women’s basketball player Lizzy Bauer (Madison, Wis./Madison West) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week Monday (November 27) for her performance in a pair of tournaments the previous two weekends. She is the league’s first Performer of the Week this season so all contests to date were included in the selection.
Bauer, a senior guard, helped lead Lake Forest to Forester Tip-Off Tournament victories over Concordia University Chicago and UW-Oshkosh November 17-18. She averaged 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals in the two games.

Lake Forest defeated host Washington University 83-81 in overtime and Williams College 75-63 to claim the McWilliams Classic championship this past weekend (November 25-26) and Bauer was named the event’s Most Valuable Player. She led the team with 16 points and shot 4-for-6 from three-point range in the victory over Washington, the 12th-ranked team in the nation in D3hoops.com’s preseason poll. She then scored 18 points shooting 4-for-6 from the field and 10-for-12 from the foul line against Williams, ranked 17th in the same poll.
