MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Forester women’s basketball team rolled to an 87-47 victory at Milwaukee School of Engineering Tuesday (November 20) night. Lake Forest raised its record on the year to 3-0 while the Raiders fell to 0-3.

All 15 Foresters who appeared in the game scored at least one point, led by sophomore Lisa Nassin’s (Evergreen Park, Ill./Evergreen Park) 19. She shot 6-for-8 from the field and 7-for-8 from the free throw line and added a pair of steals and a career-high four assists. Senior Nicole Baich (Westchester, Ill./Nazareth Academy) shot 4-for-5 from the floor and finished with a dozen points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Senior Beth Lucas (Arlington Heights, Ill./John Hersey) led the squad with six rebounds.

Lake Forest shot 55.5 percent from the field, 6-for-13 (46.2%) from three-point range, and 17-for-25 (68%) from the free throw line. MSOE made just 10 field goals in 38 attempts (26.3%), knocked down half of their eight attempts from beyond the arc, and shot 23-for-33 from the foul line. The Foresters out-rebounded the home team 33-21 and forced 24 turnovers while committing just 10, their lowest single-game total in nearly five full seasons.

The game was tied at six before an 11-0 Lake Forest run put the visitors ahead for good. Lake Forest gradually extended the margin to 22 points (45-23) by halftime. The Foresters scored 14 points in a row during the second half to take a 70-35 lead and the difference reached 42 points in the contest’s final minute.

Lake Forest will travel north this weekend (November 24-25) for UW-La Crosse’s Thanksgiving Classic. The Foresters will take on Finlandia University Saturday afternoon at 3:00 and the hosts at the same time on Sunday.
