Lisa Nassin Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Junior recorded double-double against Beloit

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College women’s basketball player Lisa Nassin (Evergreen Park, Ill./Evergreen Park) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (January 22) for her performance in a pair of victories at home the previous weekend (January 16-17).

Nassin, a junior center, registered her third double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds as the Foresters posted a 74-60 victory over Beloit College on Friday. She added four steals in the contest as the Foresters handed the Buccaneers their first Midwest Conference loss of the season.

Lake Forest defeated Lawrence University 66-39 on Saturday and Nassin tied for team-high honors with a dozen points and six rebounds in just 10 minutes of play.

Nassin shot 10-for-17 from the field and 5-for-6 from the line in the two games combined. She leads the 2008-09 Foresters with 14.2 points per game and a .563 field goal percentage. She is also tied for second on the squad in rebounds and third in steals.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Nassin also earned the award once last season.
