Coaching Staff 
Fern has been a part of all five of the school's conference championship teams (1992, 1994, 2000, 2001, and 2002). During her eight years as an assistant coach, the Foresters have won 154 games and three Midwest Conference Championships. They have also made three trips to the NCAA Tournament. Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, Fern graduated from Lake Forest in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics. Coach Fern is a sales associate at GE Capital in Bannockburn, Illinois .

Coach Fern has been involved with the Lake Forest College women's basketball program for 12 years, including the last eight as an assistant coach (1997-present). During her undergraduate years at Lake Forest (1990-1994), Fern was unable to play due to a severe knee injury and instead served as the team's manager.
