Lisa Sturgill Named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week
Senior finished the 4-match weekend with 102 digs

Lisa Sturgill
LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College volleyball player Lisa Sturgill (Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan South) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Wednesday (September 3) for her performance in four matches at the Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational the previous weekend (August 29-30).

Sturgill recorded 24 digs in each of the Friday’s contests, a 3-set season-opening victory over Alverno College and a 4-set loss to North Park University. She then added 17 digs in a 3-set win over North Central University in Saturday’s first match before breaking her own school record for digs in a 3-set match with 37 in a loss to Wisconsin Lutheran.

Her weekend total of 102 digs leaves her six shy of becoming just the second player in team history to record 2,000 digs in a career.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director.
