Foresters Come Back to Win in Five Sets at Illinois College
Team will play at Monmouth College tomorrow

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. - The Lake Forest College volleyball team opened Midwest Conference play with a 26-28, 23-25, 25-14, 25-13, 15-11 victory at Illinois College Friday night (September 25). The Foresters raised their overall record to 2-12 while the Lady Blues fell to 3-7.

Junior Mandi Mulliner (Elmhurst, Ill./York) led all players in the match with 15 kills and a .314 hitting percentage. Freshman Megan Trubich (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) led the visitors with 18 digs and three aces, junior setter Deena Blanchard (Sparta, Mich./Sparta) had 31 assists, and freshman Cori Cooper (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central) added nine kills and 11 digs.

It was Jennifer Saylor's first trip to Illinois College as the Foresters' head coach. She coached the Lady Blues from 2002-07.

Lake Forest will continue Midwest Conference play tomorrow afternoon at Monmouth College at 1:00.
