Stephanie Metzger Named MWC South Division Player of the Week 
Junior set new school record for digs in a match
  

Stephanie Metzger earned conference POW honors for the first time in her career.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College volleyball player Stephanie Metzger (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) was named Midwest Conference South Division Player of the Week Tuesday (October 29) for her contributions to the Foresters' 3-1 record in the last seven days. Lake Forest defeated Judson College in three games Thursday (October 24) night at home. At the UW-Oshkosh Quadrangular on Friday and Saturday (October 25-26), the Foresters defeated both the University of Chicago and Augsburg College before falling to Oshkosh.

In Thursday's win over Judson, Metzger recorded team-highs with 20 kills, 16 digs, and five aces.

The junior co-captain also led the team with 34 kills in the three matches combined. She was also second on the squad with 42 digs, including a school-record 28 in the victory over Chicago.

For the week, Metzger tallied 54 kills and had a .299 hitting percentage. She added 58 digs, seven aces, and four blocks.

Midwest Conference Players of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors.
