Lake Forest Defeats Knox in Three Games 
Victory ends three-match skid
  

Jenna Harper should finish the season with one of the highest block totals in school history.
LAKE FOREST, IL - The Forester volleyball team came up with a much-needed victory at home Friday (October 18) night, defeating Knox College in three games (30-26, 30-15, 30-26). The victory improves Lake Forest's overall record to 14-10 and its Midwest Conference mark to 5-3. The Foresters also remain undefeated at home this season (8-0) with just two matches yet to be played in the Sports Center.

Junior co-captain Stephanie Metzger (Chicago, IL/Lane Tech) led the team with 12 kills and also added three aces and a dozen digs. Senior Kelly McNiff (Maryland Heights, MO/Pattonville) was next on the squad in kills with nine while sophomore Amy Krueger (Tinley Park, IL/Andrew) tallied a team-high 14 digs.

Sophomore Andrea Krueger (Tinley Park, IL/Andrew) and freshman Jenny Lackey (Indianapolis, IN/Lawrence North) shared the team-lead with 14 assists each. Krueger also added six aces and each had four digs. 

The Foresters' leader in blocks was Jenna Harper (St. Louis, MO/Clayton) with five. The junior now has 89 on the year and is nearing the highest single-season block totals in school history. Fourth place on the list is 92, third is 100, second is 105, and the all-time record is 123.

Lake Forest will play at home again next Thursday (October 24) when it hosts Judson College. Next weekend (October 25-26), the Foresters will compete in the UW-Oshkosh Tournament, taking on the University of Chicago on Friday and both Augsburg College and UW-Oshkosh on Sunday.
