Cori Cooper Named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week
Freshman recorded 57 kills and 52 digs in three victories

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College volleyball player Cori Cooper (Crystal Lake, Ill./Crystal Lake Central) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday (November 3) for her performance three victories during the previous seven days.

Cooper, a freshman outside hitter/opposite, started the week by leading all players with a career-high 17 kills in a four-set Midwest Conference victory at Carroll University on Wednesday. She also recorded a match-high 20 digs in the contest.

The Foresters began Saturday with a four-set victory over visiting Lawrence University. Cooper matched her career-high kill output of 17 from Wednesday and added an ace and 18 digs.

Later on Saturday, in a four-set triumph over Wisconsin Lutheran College, Cooper shattered one career-high with 23 kills and matched another with four blocks. She also tallied 14 more digs.

Cooper recorded 57 kills, 52 digs, and four blocks in the three matches combined. She finished the season with a team-high 301 kills and 44 aces and was second on the squad with 314 digs.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information directors.
