Lake Forest Swimming and Diving Teams Even Records at 1-1 
Four multiple winners lead Foresters to victory at Benedictine

LISLE, IL - The Lake Forest College swimming and diving teams traveled to Benedictine University Saturday (November 1) looking for their first dual meet wins of the 2003-04 season. The two teams captured 11 of 13 individual races, earning those wins in convincing fashion. The women's final was 114-16, while the men outscored the Eagles 68-18. 

The Forester women were led by three multiple winners. Sophomore Erin Colwell (Northfield, MN/Northfield) took the 200-yard freestyle in 2:09.07 and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:08.62. Continuing her solid early-season form, freshman Chelsea Bueter (Swisher, IA/Prairie) won the 200-yard individual medley (2:23.24) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:05.23). Classmate Alexandra Hales (New Iberia, LA/Episcopal School) earned the first two victories of her collegiate career in the 100- (59.52) and 1000-yard (12:17.86) freestyle events.

Sophomore Marie Pool (Redding, CA/Central Valley) added a victory in the 50 Free (26.26) and sophomore Kelly Albanese (Waltham, MA/Waltham) was second in the 200 IM (2:46.53) and the 100 Fly (1:20.78).

On the men's side, freshman Jonathan D'Angelo (Ann Arbor, MI/Ann Arbor) was a two-time winner and the Foresters went 1-2-3 in two events. He was the first to touch the wall in the 100-yard butterfly (58.89), followed by freshman Gareth Bevan (Houston, TX/Alief Hastings) in 1:01.62 and senior Jeremy Koop (Newton, KS/Newton) in 1:02.84. D'Angelo claimed his second win with a time of 2:02.10 in the 200-yard freestyle. 

Aaron Lawlor (Vernon Hills, IL/Libertyville) was the first of three seniors who completed the 1-2-3 sweep in the 100-yard backstroke, clocking a time of 1:04.01. Joe Isaacs (Shorewood, MN/Breck) placed second in 1:06.68 and Koop claimed another third-place finish in 1:07.79. 

The fourth win for the Forester men was recorded by senior Brady Lowdermilk (Parker, CO/Regis) in the 200 IM (2:12.36).

Lake Forest will host Wisconsin-Whitewater at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday (November 12) in the last home meet of the semester.
