January 18, 2007 Contact: Mike Wajerski, SID Maggie Rezac Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Rezac, a junior, placed first with an 11-dive score of 431.40 off the 3-meter board and she won the 1-meter competition with a mark of 418.70. Both scores are higher than the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet qualifying standards, ensuring her a chance in March of capturing All-American honors for the third year in a row. Rezac’s 1-meter score is currently ranked fourth in the nation and her 3-meter mark is sixth. She placed among the top eight in the nation off both boards in last year’s championship meet and finished sixth in the 1-meter competition as a freshman. Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Rezac also earned the award this past November and twice as a freshman. Other Forester Athletes of the Week
