Chelsea Bueter Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Five-time champion named MWC Swimmer of the Year

Chelsea Bueter set two conference records last weekend.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College swimmer Chelsea Bueter (Swisher, IA/Prairie) was named Forester Athlete of the Week after she claimed five championships and established numerous records while leading her team to a runner-up finish at the 2003-04 Midwest Conference Championship Meet last weekend (February 13-15). The first-year swimmer won all three of her individual events with national B-cut qualifying times and swam the second leg for the victorious 200 and 400 medley relay squads.

Bueter established a new pool record in the 400-Individual Medley (4:39.58), new conference and school records in the 200-Individual Medley (2:10.88), and all three in the 200-Breaststroke (2:23.99).

Her 200-Breaststroke time is just two-tenths of a second from the A-cut and is the eighth fastest in Division III this season. The Midwest Conference Women's Swimmer of the Year ranks in the top 20 nationally in both the 200-IM and 400-IM as well.

The Forester Athlete of the Week is chosen by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
