"Captain Flotation"...swam in eight of 11 meets...one of the team's co-captains...won the Roy LeClere Award, given to the two-sport senior male athlete in the Midwest Conference who had the highest grade point average as a junior...posted the team's fastest times in the 500-freestyle, 1000-freestyle, 1,650-freestyle, and 400-individual medley...won the 400-individual medley at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet..also placed second in the 1,650-freestyle and third in the 500-freestyle at the MWC Championships...won the 200-individual medley on November 8th against Ripon College and Benedictine University...won the 800-freestyle on February 1st against Calvin College...earned Academic All-Midwest Conference honors...earned fourth varsity letter in swimming & diving and eighth overall.

As a Junior in 2001-02
Swam in 10 of 11 meets...placed 2nd in the 400-individual medley, 2nd in the 1,650-freestyle, and 3rd in the 500-freestyle at the Midwest Conference Championship Meet...also swam on MWC Championship 800-freestyle relay team...placed first in the 1,000-freestyle at Benedictine and against Illinois Wesleyan University on November 9th...won the 400-freestyle against Carthage College on November 10th...won the 100-freestyle against the Illinois Institute of Technology on January 26th...named Academic All-Midwest Conference...earned third varsity letter.

As a Sophomore in 2000-01
A part of the conference champion 800 free relay team.conference runner-up in the 200 back.recorded a third-place finish in the 400 IM and a fourth-place conference finish in the 200 IM.an Academic All-Conference selection.recorded team top times in the IM events - 2:02.69 in the 200 IM and 4:23.94 in the 400 IM.second in the 100 back (59.55) and 200 back (2:02.99).third in the 500 free (5:03.60) and 1650 free (17:51.34).a member of the team's top 800 relay team.earned his second varsity letter.
