Kendra Grant Named Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week
Sophomore is 4-1 on the season with a 2.19 earned run average 

  

Kendra Grant won a pair of MWC games over the weekend.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College softball player Kendra Grant (Bothell, WA/Bothell) was named Midwest Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday (April 3). Grant helped lead the Foresters to a 3-1 record in league play the previous weekend (March 31-April 1).

Grant pitched the Foresters’ first conference game of the season, a 7-0 victory at Illinois College on Friday. The sophomore allowed just four base hits in the contest and struck out four batters without issuing a walk. It was her second shutout of the season and third of her career.

Grant was in the pitcher’s circle again the following afternoon in game one of a doubleheader at Monmouth College. Lake Forest came away with an 8-6 triumph and Grant raised her record on the season to 4-1. Her earned run average for the year is 2.19.
