Portia Lowe is in her first year as Assistant Athletic Director at Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Illinois. Her duties include athletic alumni relations and correspondence, community outreach, and student-athlete leadership and development. She also oversees the College's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and booster programs for current students (Forester Fanatics) and younger fans (Cub Club).

A beneficiary of the NCAA Division III Ethnic Minority and Women’s Internship Grant Program, Lowe served as Marketing, Promotions and Special Events Coordinator at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, from August of 2002 to May of 2004. A member of the inaugural intern class, she completed the two year program and became the Interim Assistant Director of Athletics at Vassar College in June of 2004. Taking on the responsibilities of the Associate Athletic Director, her main duties were compliance, scheduling and transportation coordinator, advisor to SAAC, and tournament director.

Lowe is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA) and completed the Institute for Administrative Advancement in 2003. She participated in the first NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Regional Leadership Conference in 2002 and now serves as a facilitator and member of the Div. III Ethnic Minority and Women’s Internship Grant committee.

Lowe received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from Trinity University (Texas). She played basketball for the Tigers and still ranks among the program's all-time leaders in three-pointers and steals.

Lowe is currently pursuing a Masters in Business Administration from North Park University.
