Will Hiemenz Named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week
Sophomore was 2-0 in both singles and doubles during Forester victories

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College men’s tennis player Will Hiemenz (St. Louis, Mo./ Chaminade) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week Tuesday (March 6) for his performance in a pair of Forester victories in Concordia University’s (Wis.) Chris West Invite the previous Saturday (March 3).

Hiemenz, a sophomore, helped lead Lake Forest to a 5-4 victory over the host school in the Foresters’ first match of the day. He teamed with junior Tim Tierney (Woodstock, Ill./Woodstock) for an 8-3 victory at number three doubles and later prevailed 6-3, 7-5 at number three singles.

Lake Forest then defeated Marian College 9-0. Hiemenz and Tierney triumphed 8-0 at number three doubles and Hiemenz complete his perfect day with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at number three singles.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director.
