Tim Tierney Named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week
Sophomore won all six of his matches over the weekend

  

Tim Tierney posted a combined 6-0 record over the weekend.
LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College men’s tennis player Tim Tierney (Woodstock, IL/Woodstock) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday (March 28) for his performance in three Forester victories the previous weekend (March 25-26)

Lake Forest began the weekend with a 4-3 victory at Lawrence University Saturday afternoon. Tierney was part of an 8-5 win at number two doubles and prevailed 6-3, 6-1 at number five singles.

The Foresters also won 7-0 at Marian College the same evening. Tierney had a new partner at number two doubles and they shut out the home team 8-0. The sophomore also came out on top of a 6-0, 6-1 decision at number five singles.

Lake Forest hosted and defeated Lakeland College 7-0 on Sunday. Tierney played with his third doubles partner in two days and won 8-0 at number three. The sophomore completed his perfect 6-0 weekend with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph at number six singles.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director.
