Jonathan Frisby scores first career goal

Jonathan Frisby Tom Biesiada
RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Lake Forest College men's soccer team defeated host Concordia University Chicago 1-0 on Wednesday (September 16). The Foresters are now 1-4-0 on the season while the Cougars fell to 1-3-1.

Despite Lake Forest's 20-7 edge in shots attempted, the game was still scoreless until Forester freshman Jonathan Frisby (Rancho Cucamoanga, Calif./Webb) netted his first career goal with just 6:04 remaining in regulation. He was assisted by sophomore Chris Haught-Thompson (Westchester, Ohio/Lakota East).

It was the first appearance of the season for junior goalkeeper Tom Biesiada (Grayslake, Ill./Grayslake Central), who recorded a save in each half for his first career shutout.

The Foresters will look to even their 0-1-0 Midwest Conference record on Saturday (September 19) when they host St. Norbert College. The game will begin at 4:30 p.m.
