Lake Forest Falls to Gustavus Adolphus and St. Olaf
Foresters will travel to Minnesota next weekend

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Forester men’s hockey team dropped a pair of games at home to schools from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference over the weekend (November 2-3). Lake Forest fell 7-0 to Gustavus Adolphus College Friday night and 4-0 to St. Olaf College on Saturday and now owns a 0-4-0 record on the year. Friday’s contest was the season opener for Gustavus Adolphus and St. Olaf raised its record to 1-1-0.

Gustavus Adolphus notched a power play goal at 4:31 and even-strength goals at 14:20 and 17:29 in Friday’s first period. The Gusties also scored at full strength at 16:22 in the second and shorthanded with 1.6 seconds remaining in the period. The visitors added third period goals at 11:11 and 19:10.

All four of St. Olaf’s scores occurred while both teams were at full strength, beginning with tallies at 11:20 and 15:50 in the first period. Second period goals at 4:42 and 7:19 closed out the scoring.

Lake Forest will play twice in Minnesota next weekend (November 9-10). The Foresters will travel to Concordia College in Moorhead for a 7:00 p.m. game on Friday and the puck will drop at 2:00 Saturday afternoon at St. John’s University in Collegeville.
