Mason Black Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Senior goaltender beats nation's fourth-ranked team on Friday

LAKE FOREST, IL - Lake Forest College senior men's hockey player Mason Black (Smith Falls, Ontario) has been named the Forester Athlete of the Week for the week of January 18th-24th. 

Black, a senior goaltender, started three games last week for the Foresters, with his most memorable coming on Friday (January 19th) at UW-River Falls, where he recorded 38 saves during a 4-1 win versus the fourth-ranked team in the nation (U.S. College Hockey Online).

Black added 33 saves during a 4-2 loss at UW-Stout on Saturday (January 20th) and 28 saves during a 4-3 loss at UW-Stevens Point on Tuesday (January 23rd). 

The Lake Forest College Athletic Department selects the Forester Athlete of the Week each Thursday.
