Lake Forest Concludes Regular Season With Two Road Losses
Foresters to travel to UW-River Falls for first round of NCHA playoffs

DULUTH, MN - After two losses over the weekend, Lake Forest College will play from the seventh seed and travel to UW-River Falls, the second seed, for the first round of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association men's playoffs. 

The Foresters lost, 9-3, at UW-Superior on Friday (February 9th) and then fell, 5-3, at College of St. Scholastica on Saturday (February 10th).

On Friday, UW-Superior started the game with a 4-0 lead before Lake Forest scored two straight goals to make the score 4-2. But Superior would score five of the game's last six goals to cruise to the 9-3 win.

On Saturday, Lake Forest took a 2-1 lead after the first period, but were outscored 2-0 in the second frame and 2-1 in the final period, as St. Scholastica won 5-3. 

Lake Forest finished the regular season with a 10-12-2 overall record and a 3-11-0 NCHA mark. The Foresters will play a two-game series with UW-River Falls on Friday (February 16th) and Saturday (February 17th) for the NCHA quarterfinals.
