Foresters Struggle at Milwaukee Classic
Tiveron wins B-Division title over Mehilos
  

Derrick Tiveron won the B Division Championship.
WEST ALLIS, WI - The Forester handball team competed at the Milwaukee Classic this weekend (December 6-8) but did not have tremendous success in the upper divisions.

No Forester advanced in the Open or A Divisions. Sophomore Alex Martinez (Andover, CT) battled back and won the A Consolation championship with a 21-15, 21-16 victory in the finals.

In the B Division, senior Derrick Tiveron (Toronto, Ontario) knocked off junior Megan Mehilos (Addison, IL) in a grueling championship match (21-14, 12-21, 11-4). Senior Mike Sheehan (Sycamore, IL) took honors in the B Consolation bracket in convincing style.

Freshman Derek Meiring (Carleton, MI) defeated senior Amy Sove (Modesto, CA) in straight sets to claim the C Consolation championship.

The next competition for the men will be January 17-18 when Lake Forest hosts the Illinois Handball Association's Sweet Sixteen Singles Tournament. Lake Forest will host the I.H.A. Women's Doubles Tournament the following weekend (January 24-25).
