LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College football player Brock Stenberg (Grand Haven, Mich./Grand Haven) was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday (October 23) for his performance in the team’s 24-16 victory over visiting Grinnell College the previous Saturday (October 18).

Stenberg, a sophomore running back, set career-highs for carries (37), rushing yards (174), catches (6), and receiving yards (112) in the contest. His 286 yards from scrimmage are the highest total in the Midwest Conference so far this season and he is the only player in the league so far to surpass 100 yards rushing and receiving in the same game.

Stenberg, who was also named MWC Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday, currently ranks third in the league with 533 rushing yards and he leads the conference with 751 yards from scrimmage.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Stenberg also earned the award on September 25 and once last year.
