Foresters Announce Addition of Three New Assistant Coaches
Head Coach Jim Catanzaro continues to fill out his staff

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College head football coach Jim Catanzaro recently announced the hiring of three new assistant coaches to his staff. Kevin Canty will be the Foresters' offensive coordinator, Craig Kerr will direct the quarterbacks and coordinate the passing game, and Brandon Parker will work with the safeties.

Canty was the offensive line coach and running game coordinator at College of St. Scholastica in 2008. He spent the previous two seasons at Wingate University, his alma mater, where he worked with the Bulldogs' running backs and tight ends in 2007 and offensive line in 2006. Catanzaro was an assistant coach at Wingate during Canty's three-year playing career.

Kerr also came from Wingate University, where he earned his master's degree in Sports Administration in May. He was the Bulldogs' wide receivers coach in 2008 and quarterbacks coach in 2007.

Parker comes to Lake Forest from Concordia University Wisconsin, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees. As a graduate assistant coach he directed the Falcons' wide receivers for one season and linebackers another.

"I'm extremely excited about the recent additions we've made to our staff," commented Catanzaro. "I'm obviously familiar with Coach Canty from our time at Wingate and, after meeting with Coach Kerr and Coach Parker, I feel confident that they will also be successful getting the most out of our players this season. In addition, the commitment of these men to developing the total student-athlete will benefit the entire campus community."
