Kahiye Hassan Named Forester Athlete of the Week
Freshman finished seventh at Spartan Classic

LAKE FOREST, Ill. - Lake Forest College cross country runner Kahiye Hassan (Portland, Maine/Waynflete School) was named Forester Athlete of the Week Thursday (September 20) for his performance at Aurora University’s Spartan Classic the previous Friday (September 14).

Hassan, a freshman, placed seventh out of 82 runners with an 8-kilometer time of 27:53. He was the Foresters’ top finisher for the third time in as many races this season. Lake Forest placed fourth among the meet’s six complete teams in the University/College Division.

Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
