A pair of Forester women were among the first dozen finishers and both posted 6K times among the top 25 in team history. Junior Ryann Freeman (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) placed eighth in 24:46, the program's 11th-fastest time, and freshman Sarah Peluse (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove) was 12th in 25:01, which is tied for 12th. Senior Hadley Skeffington-Vos (Minburn, Iowa/Adel-DeSoto-Minburn) finished 24th in 26:40 and classmate Martina Kolb (Gurnee, Ill./Warren) was the next runner to cross the line just a second later. Junior Claire Garrett (Wheaton, Ill./Wheaton North) completed the team's top five in 33rd place with a time of 27:11. There were 90 runners in the race. Sophomore Peter Sullivan (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) continued to lead the Forester men. He posted a career-best 8K time of 28:45 and placed 29th out of 119 runners, 10 places and 25 seconds ahead of fellow sophomore Kelsey Small (Wallingford, Conn./Notre Dame). Junior Evan Piermont (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) was third on the team and 43rd in the race with a time of 29:27. Senior David Ehrenreich (Deerfield, Ill./Deerfield) was 75th in 31:04 and sophomore J.D. Randol (Topeka, Kan./Seaman) finished 91st in 32:30.. Lake Forest will host the 11th annual Forester Invitational next Saturday (September 26). The meet will begin at 11:00 a.m. and start and finish at Half Day Forest Preserve in Vernon Hills.
