Forester junior Ryann Freeman (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) was the women's team's top finisher for the fifth time in six meets this season. She completed the 6-kilometer course in 25 minutes and 56 second and in 43rd place out of 141 runners. Sophomore Amanda Glasgow (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) and senior Hadley Skeffington-Vos (Minburn, Iowa/Adel-DeSoto-Minburn) were next on the squad in 53rd and 55th place, respectively. Glasgow posted a career-best time of 26:33 and Skeffington-Vos finished seven seconds later. Junior Brecklind Golovich-Keie (East Jordan, Mich./Charlevoix) was 68th in 27:09, eight seconds ahead of sophomore Carolyn Miller (Mansfield, Mass./Mansfield) in 70th place. It was the best 6K time of Miller's career. Sophomore Kelsey Small (Wallingford, Conn./Notre Dame) led the men's team for the third consecutive week, finishing 67th out of 176 runners with an 8-kilometer time of 29:01. Fellow sophomore Peter Sullivan (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) 81st in 29:22 and junior Evan Piermont (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) crossed the line just two places and four seconds later. Sophomore J.D. Randol (Topeka, Kan./Seaman) placed 126th in 31:37 and junior Max Koenen's (Racine, Wis./Prairie School) time of 32:44 was good for 148th place. The Foresters will compete in UW-Oshkosh's Brooks Invitational next Saturday (October 17). The women's 6K will begin at 10:30 a.m. and the men's 8K will follow at 11:15. The meet will be held at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, Wisconsin, the same site of the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional on November 14.
