After finishing second on the team last week for the first time since the 2007 season, junior Ryann Freeman (Northfield, Minn./Northfield) led the Forester women with a 12th-place finish (out of 113 runners) and 6-kilometer time of 25:28. Freshman Sarah Peluse (Buffalo Grove, Ill./Buffalo Grove) was next on the squad in 24th place with a time of 26:23. Eight of the next 22 runners after Peluse were also from Lake Forest, led by senior Hadley Skeffington-Vos (Minburn, Iowa/Adel-DeSoto-Minburn) in 28th at 26:39. Junior Brecklind Golovich-Keie (East Jordan, Mich./Charlevoix) finished 32nd in 26:45 and sophomore Amanda Glasgow (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) completed the course just 12 seconds and two places later. Sophomore Kelsey Small (Wallingford, Conn./Notre Dame) was the first Forester male for the second straight week. He finished the 8-kilometer course in 29:24, good for 20th place out of 112 competitors. Junior Evan Piermont (East Hampton, N.Y./East Hampton) was next for Lake Forest at 29:36 and in 22nd place and sophomore Peter Sullivan (Lockport, Ill./Lockport) finished just three places and three seconds later. Junior Max Koenen (Racine, Wis./Prairie School) was 72nd in 32:32 and classmate Michael Frederick (Winnetka, Ill./Roycemore School) rounded out the top five in 80th place with a time of 33:41. Lake Forest will be in action again on Friday (October 9) at the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational. The meet will begin at 3:30 p.m.
