Katie Snowden Earns Second MWC Performer of the Week Honor of the Year
Senior ran fourth-fastest time in team history

Lake Forest, Ill. - Lake Forest College cross country runner Katie Snowden (Toronto, Ontario/York Mills Collegiate Institution) was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Tuesday (October 3) for her performance at Loyola University Chicago’s Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational on Saturday (September 30).

Snowden, a senior, completed the 5-kilometer course in 19:28, the fourth-fastest time in team history. She finished 39th in the race, which included 379 runners. Lake Forest placed 19th out of the 33 complete teams and ahead of each of the other three league schools participating in the meet.

Midwest Conference Performers of the Week are selected by the league’s sports information director. Snowden also earned the award two weeks earlier.
