Simpson Named "Forester Athlete of the Week"
Top Forester female finisher for 7th straight race

LAKE FOREST, IL - Women's cross country runner Sarah Simpson (Colorado Springs, CO/ Palmer) has been named Forester Athlete of the Week for the week of Oct. 26 - Nov. 1. The Lake Forest College Athletic Department selects the winner.

Last Saturday (October 28th), Simpson was the top female runner for the Foresters at the Midwest Conference Championship. She finished in 27th place in the race, completing the 5-kilometer course in 20:12, the fastest time of her career. Simpson, a senior, has been the top finisher for Lake Forest in all seven meets in 2000 and in 14 of 17 races over the last two years.
