Graduate with a diploma and an EDGE.

Whether you aspire to be a physicist, zoologist, conservationist, chemist, or biologist, a Lake Forest science major will prepare you to attack the world’s big issues.

Your study of the sciences at Lake Forest College will put you at the leading edge of some of the world’s most critical issues — human DNA sequencing; unraveling Parkinson’s disease; tropical rainforest conservation; the future of nuclear power; and ozone depletion.

Supported by research grants from the National Science Foundation and other prestigious sources, students are engaged in active scientific work that leads to top jobs and graduate school options.  Recent Lake Forest graduates entered doctoral and master’s programs at Columbia, Princeton, Stanford, and University of Arizona, and began careers that range from working as a technology education specialist at Abbott Laboratories to the zoological care of marine mammals at the Shedd Aquarium..
