The two-day conference wrapped up after 11 sessions, 13 speakers, and 15 student research projects illuminated many of the issues surrounding nuclear power and brought together various speakers who represented different viewpoints to encourage discussion.
While their comments are not included in this article, the Deane Conference featured several other speakers and topics.

Hussein Khalil of Argonne National Laboratory spoke about nuclear power generation and modern reactor design.
Charles Pardee of Excelon Corporation talked about the potential for new nuclear facilities.
Carl-Erik Wikdahl of Energikommunikaion AB discussed nuclear power in Sweden, Finland, and Europe.
Harukuni Tanaka of Tokyo Electric Power Company delivered a talk on current issues and future perspectives of nuclear power and fuel cycle in Japan.
