1952
On March 3, Richard R. Day of East Moline, Ill., received his 50-year pin for membership in the Masonic fraternity at Trio Lodge 57 in Rock Island.
Peg and Carl J. Scichili of Lake Bluff, Ill., continue tutoring at the Enrichment Center at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, where their son, Michael, is a freshman and plays first doubles on the tennis team. Peg handles all math tutorials, and Carl assists in Spanish, Latin, and composition.
1953
Last February, Helen Mester Voth '53 of Granger, Ind., visited her granddaughter, Jessica A. Voth '06, at the College. At the time, Jessie lived in Lois Hall, Helen's former dormitory.
1954
Sanford E. Gerber of Spokane, Wash., recently published an article in the Lion magazine, which described the preschool hearing-screening program at his Lions Club.
1955
On Saturday, April 16, Glennette Tilley Turner of Wheaton, Ill., led a popular bus tour of Chicago-area centers of anti-slavery activity and Underground Railroad sights in conjunction with the Newberry Library and the Chicago Historical Society. Glennette is the author of The Underground Railroad in Illinois.
1956
Mary and Sigvard G. Gissler '56 of New York recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on a 12-day safari in Tanzania. Sig writers, "We saw dazzling wildlife up close—from lion and leopard to zebra and flamingo. One misty dawn, two elephants grazed near our 'tent' (which) always had a full bathroom, king-sized bed, Oriental rugs on the floor, and...coffee in the morning.... Most memorable was the baroque Ngorongoro Crater Lodge on the rim of an ancient crater where 30,000 animals roamed as if it were the Garden of Eden."
George A. Wolz of Wauwatosa, Wis., is retired from Rockwell/Allen-Bradley. He remains active with curling, golfing, and remodeling his century-old home. His wife, Martha Decker Wolz, a retired attorney, is on the board of directors of several local cultural organizations and was named Docent of the Year by the Milwaukee Art Museum, where she edits Docent Digest and gives lectures annually. George and Martha have four grown children and five grandchildren.
1960
Last spring, Thomas G. Adams of Green Oaks, Ill., announced his plans to run for a fourth term as mayor. Tom also holds leadership roles on the Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission, Lake County Stormwater Management Commission, Lake County Municipal League, and Metropolitan Mayor’s Caucus, which includes mayors from the 272 municipalities in the six-county Chicago metropolitan area.
John E. Bostock of San Francisco retired last year and now paints full time. In March, he saw his work exhibited in a three-person show at the local Steel Gallery. For more information, visit www.steelgalleryinc.com.

Lindsay Schieffelin of Scottsdale, Ariz., is the manager of Hillbank Motor Corporation, the exclusive dealer for Super Formula Shelby Cobra replicas in the western United States. He writes, “Want to have some fun the next time you are in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area? Come see me for the ride of your life! I still can’t believe they pay guys to do this!”
1969
Congratulations to Erin Kenefick Urban of Staten Island, N.Y., who received an honorable mention at the American Association of Museum’s 2005 Museum Publications Design Competition for her new catalogue raisonné (a book of “all the works” by an individual artist), Bon à tirer: The Prints of Herman Zaage, published by the Noble Maritime Collection. She writes, “It’s a credit to Franz Schulze and Alex Mitchell!”
Congratulations to Carol “Kerry” Strong Wellington of Wellesley, Mass., who placed third in the Women’s 3.0 Division at the U.S. National Squash Championships held at Harvard University last March. Kerry took up squash shortly after graduating from the College and has enjoyed playing for almost 30 years!
1970
Professor James I. Matray, chair of the history department at California State University, Chico, is an expert on the history of U.S.-Korean relations. The History News Network recently published his article, titled, “Why the Bush Policy is failing in North Korea,” online at www.hnn.us/

Sharon Walton of Falmouth, Mass., owns and operates Liberty House in Woods Hole. A local Web site (www.woodshole.com/shops.htm) describes the shop as “a picturesque boutique featuring beautiful and playful women’s clothing in a variety of sensuous fabrics and styles.” After more than 20 years of success, Sharon recently opened a second location.
1971
Karen Ackerson is presently a member of the Writers’ Workshop, a nonprofit literary center based in Asheville, N.C. Earlier this year, the organization celebrated its 20th anniversary with author auctions, author drawings, and writing contests. After 27 years with the State of Maine’s Department of Health and Human Services, Robert E. Gross of Gardiner, Maine, has retired. He and his wife, Ava, have since toured the Spanish Canary Islands and San Juan, Puerto Rico. While traveling, they visited a Bacardi distillery where Robert discovered the practice of measuring shots by the count (four to five depending on the beverage). Do any Foresters know a place where a shot is routinely poured for a count of six or more? This information would help, as he is currently considering retirement locations. Plus, he says, “It’s a little reminiscent of ‘corner of the bar’ research conducted at the Lantern by fellow alumni and friends who shall remain nameless. Cheers!”
Deborah Richardson Recksiek '71 of Layton, Utah, writes, "Walter and I have just finished our already large family with an eighth adopted child, Sarah Frances, the darling brunette in the front." Deborah was city planning commissioner for ten years before beginning her PhD in German at the University of Utah. "Life has been full and active," she continues, "Lake Forest brings back great memories of fellow students and professors."
1972
John W. McPhee of Santa Fe, N.M., continues to work as a legislative liaison for the Department of Health. He represents the National SAFE KIDS Campaign and is the New Mexico liaison for the Consumer Product Safety Commission. He is well suited to the work and plans to stay indefinitely. John sends best wishes to his classmates, particularly his teammates on the soccer, ice hockey, and tennis teams!
Lillian Tynes Perry, a schoolteacher in Alta Loma, Calif., is cochair of and an official spokesperson for Governor Schwarzenegger’s Coalition to Reform and Rebuild California. Lillian is helping promote the governor’s initiatives, which voters will decide upon in a special election in November. She has already participated in an “Ask Arnold” townhall meeting and published a well-received opinion/editorial in the Sacramento Bee.
Wendy Williams and William Campbell were married in May 2004. “We honeymooned in Europe,” writes Bill, “retracing the steps we took to Florence, Italy, after we graduated to be with our friends in the Lake Forest Florence study abroad program 32 years ago.” The couple lives in Centerville, Ohio.
1973
On August 5, Priscilla Young Andreiev of San Carlos, Calif., graduated with an associate’s in science in radiologic technology from Cañada College in Redwood City. She plans to specialize in interventional radiography. Priscilla’s older daughter, Katja, a costume designer in New York, was recently recognized for her work on an off-Broadway production of Alice in Wonderland. Her younger daughter, Beth, completed her bachelor’s degree in physical anthropology and plans to pursue a PhD. Priscilla’s mother, Carol Hutchins Young ’48 of Deerfield, Ill., visits her family regularly. Last April, Nikita, Priscilla’s husband of 24 years died after a three-year battle with multiple myeloma. Priscilla’s cat, two dogs, and full-time garden keep her busy, and she welcomes classmates to contact her at cilla@netwiz.net.
Last May, Robert G. Halverson of Keene, N.H., became an organ donor in honor of his 20-year-old son, Elliot, who received a kidney transplant last year that saved his life. As a non-direct donor, Rob approached a transplant center and offered one of his kidneys to someone on a waiting list. The stranger in need turned out to be a man named Greg, who Rob will probably never meet. “It wouldn’t be right to run off and celebrate our own good fortune knowing what we know,” said Rob. “We shouldn’t sit back and thank our lucky stars.” Rob would enjoy hearing from old friends from the College.
1975
Priscilla Gray Scott of Livingston, Texas, is retired from her CPA practice and enjoys traveling with her husband, Bill, in their motor home. They spent last winter in Texas and Arizona and last summer in Alaska! Priscilla writes, “I am having a great time!” Their son, Sean, is in the U.S. Army and was recently stationed at Camp Ramadi in Iraq.
1976
George Brown Jr. of Lake Village, Ark., has published Alien Presence, “an exciting new novel [that] follows the adventures of Shugart and Hittman into adulthood.” This “ultimate in space chills and thrills” is “a book for all science fiction fans.”
In May, Stephen S. Cole of Wilmette, Ill., was elected to the board of directors for Online Resources Corporation, a leading outsourcer of Internet financial services. Steve is the former chief executive officer of Cash Station and also director of American EPAY and Optiscan Technologies.
In May, Arlette Porter-Sherley of Chicago received the dean’s prize from John Marshall Law School. Upon graduation, she was sworn in to practice law in Illinois.
1977
On April 11, Ross B. Bricker of Evanston, Ill., joined SPX Corporation as senior vice president, secretary, and general counsel. Formerly a partner at Jenner & Block LLP, Ross is a member of the bars of Illinois, Florida, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Supreme Court, and numerous federal district and appellate courts.
1978
James R. Ives '78 has finished his year as district governor for Rotary International District 6400 in southeast Michigan.
Seymour H. Knox IV '78 of Buffalo, N.Y., is the squash coach at the Gow School in South Wales. Last season, his team finished with a record of 13-12.
Howard Fredric Molen of Mamaroneck, N.Y., president of H.F.M. Company, Inc., is celebrating his 25th year in “the wonderful world of construction.” His company offers renovations, repairs, and 24-hour emergency services. He invites fellow Foresters to “ringy dingy his black box—914-698-6363—to discuss the good old days!”
1980
Longtime Dallas resident Gregg Overman has served as communications director for the American Airlines Pilots Union for the past 12 years. He writes, “It has been far more eventful than I ever imagined it would be!” He and his wife, Susan, celebrated their 13th anniversary in February; their daughter, Erin, is nine and son, Jon, is five. Gregg looks forward to seeing his classmates at their 25th reunion in October.

Michele Walczak Nathan of Winchester, Mass., happily announces the birth of her third child, Sabine! She writes, “Despite being a 40-something, having another child is very possible, so don’t be discouraged if you’re older!” Michele is also active in local and national politics. Brooke V. Fairman of Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., is vice president of AmSouth Bank Ponte Vedra. Her daughter, Kinzie, is almost four years old.
Last December, Bonnie Blake Jenkins of Oldwick, N.J., became the executive director of the United States Equestrian Team Foundation. Bonnie has been active in equestrian sports for more than 30 years.
1984
Mark A. Banks-Golub of Plainfield, Ill., has opened his own law practice. He represents individuals and small-to-midsize businesses and specializes in tax matters; business formation, reorganization, and sales; estate planning; real-estate transactions; leasing and contract review; and litigation. Philip A. Klinkner of Utica, N.Y., was appointed associate dean of students/academics at Hamilton College. He presently serves as the James S. Sherman Associate Professor of Government.
On July 1, Paul H. McDowall of Eden Prairie, Minn., assumed the position of president at the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association (MIPLA). Founded in 1941, the MIPLA is a professional organization of more than 700 lawyers. Paul has been active in the MIPLA since attending law school at the University of Minnesota.
1986
Catherine Garcia-Brake of Linesville, Ga., gave birth to Jovany Luis on January 27. Jovany joins two-year-old big sister, Mary Julia.
1987
Montessori School of Lake Forest honored Maria “Mia” Fotopoulos Stompanato of Park Ridge, Ill., with a special presentation in recognition of her 15 years of service at their annual benefit on February 5. The month prior, the Pioneer Press featured an article on Mia, in which she discussed the rewards of teaching.
On March 17, the Boston-area Beacon ran a photograph of J. Bruce Tinkler with their coverage of the third annual “Star Party” in Acton, Mass. The popular event drew hundreds of fourth-graders and their parents to learn about the night sky from amateur and professional astronomers. Bruce, who participated as a member of the Amateur Telescope Makers of Boston, also sends a monthly e-mail “Astronomy Update” to anyone with an interest in the subject.
1988
Last spring, Jill Mason Terzakis of Chicago returned to campus to teach an economics seminar in risk management.
Pamela Fortunoff Williams and David Williams, of Trumbull, Conn., proudly announce the birth of their third child, Andrew Philip. Born May 3, Andrew joins his sister, Annalise, and brother, Zander. Pamela is managing an animal hospital.
1989
Award-winning author Sheree A. Brewer-Ali '89 of Chicago was featured in the March 2005 issue of All You magazine. Later this fall, her family will appear in a book about spring break visitors to the Daytona Beach area.
Last spring, David H. Gunning II '89 of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, was named a partner at the law firm Roetzel & Andress. Dave specializes in real-estate law, including land use, construction law, asset management and recovery, condominium and homeowners' association law, and eminent domain law. He is also a regular speaker for the National Business Institute and Lorman Education and serves as board president for the Goodrich-Gannett Neighborhood Center.
In 1994, Gregory S. Titsworth '89 of Tigard, Ore., cofounded Zakira Martial Arts. The school grew rapidly and now hosts bimonthly children's tournaments. Greg writes, "It's funny how we change. Fifteen years ago, my main concern was where the party was going to be next weekend. Now, I'm excited about being a positive influence and empowering others." He reports that his family is terrific. This fall, his son, Tyler, started second grade and his daughter, Savanna, enrolled in kindergarten.
Lisa Cupic-Whalen '89 and Joseph P. Whalen '87 send news about their children, Nick and Natalie. This fall, Nick moved to the Latin School of Chicago's Upper School, where Eve M. Alexander '89 teaches math. Nick plays football, tennis, and baseball. He is also a nationally ranked chess player and enjoys math and cello. Natalie is in the second grade at Latin. She studies hard and enjoys playing piano and tennis.
1991
Terry L. Ashby Jr. of Chicago is working for the State of Illinois and runs a wardrobe consulting business, as well as lectures on the subject. Last spring, he and fellow classmate Sophia DuBrul Cue celebrated together at Chicago’s Centennial “Twelfth Night” and—as always—had a fantastic time!
Last spring, the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation, which provides financial assistance to local nonprofit charities, honored Paul S. Grabowski with a prestegious fellowship and the 2005 President’s Award for outstanding service to the organization. Paul is the director of marketing for Porter & Hedges, LLP, in Houston.
On December 7, 2004, Jennifer Magarity Keohane '91 and Timothy Keohane of Oakland, Calif., adopted Alexander Jeffrey. A.J. was born on May 2, in Uralsk, Kazakhstan. Jenn and Tim's daughter, Charlotte Susan, helped welcome
Carlotta Halloran Plotner '91 and Rich Plotner of Northbrook, Ill., are happy to announce the birth of their first child, Mary Eileen, born January 24.
1992
Three years ago, Matthew L. Hunt left New York City to take a break from the world of fashion. Now based in Los Angeles, he still produces events both there and in New York, where he returns to produce collections for Fashion Week, and makes various television appearances. “It’s been a crazy turn of events,” he writes, “but I’m really enjoying it!”
Jason Webb of Chicago is now an accredited buyer representative and began the process of obtaining his certified residential specialist designation—similar to a graduate degree in real estate. He writes, “I never thought I would enjoy going back to school quite so much!” and invites Foresters to contact him at jwebb@cooketech.net.
1993
Anthony Azu-Popow and Lisa E. Azu-Popow ’92 have moved to Oak Park, Ill. Their son, Nikolai, who is almost two and whose godfather is Dashun M. Davis, loves running through the new house. “I took up running and lost about 50 pounds five years ago,” writes Tony, who completed the Indianapolis Mini Marathon on May 7. Tony is the manager of donor information systems for the Alexian Brothers Health System Foundation. Lisa works in the Community Services Department at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Over Memorial Day weekend, the Azu-Popows joined Foresters from across the country at the home of Sudheshna “Sue” Reddy Ropp ’92 in Pueblo, Colo. The “reunion” included Kathleen E. Kenney ’92, Hanelle Culpepper Meier ’92, Nathalie E. Richard ’92, and Lori Johnson Berger ’92.
Carrie Drumm Barner and Jeff Barner of Orlando, Fla., recently welcomed their daughter, Abby, into the world. Abby has already learned a very important lesson—always share your toys with your big brother!
Congratulations to Elizabeth Willson Dunn '93 and Eric Dunn of Mays Landing, N.J., whose second child, Winfield Scott, was born on May 15. Winfield weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and was 19 inches long. His five-year-old brother, Greye, is already very proud of him!
Stacy Kirschner Linehan '93 of Westport, Maine, has a new addition to her family! Sawyer William Linehan was born on February 10. Stacy has since returned to work at Bowdoin College as the assistant director of outdoor programs, and her husband, Ryan, works at the Chewonki Foundation, a nonprofit educational center. Congratulations to Howard T. Saperston III of Buffalo, N.Y., who recently married Jamie Ann Kurzeja. Howard works as a partner at Forge Consulting LLC and is a founding member of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County’s Emerging Leaders Group.

Attorney Lance Tyson of Chicago now practices at Tyson Strong Hill, LLP. Founded in 2004, the firm comprises minority lawyers with experience representing state and local governmental units, investment banking firms, and developers.
Mimi P. Wier has moved back to Wilmington, Del., and is teaching kindergarten at the Sanford School.

Wendy Viets Zizka '94 and Peter Zizka of Highlands Ranch, Colo., and their son, Nicholas, happily announce the birth of the newest member of their family, Anika Noel, on December 29, 2004.
1995
Margaret J. Bruha of Gurnee works for NeoPharm, a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the research, development, and commercialization of innovative cancer drugs for therapeutic applications.
Madeline Anne, daughter of Rob and Pamela Mackin-Guarini '95 of Linwood, N.J., plays with her cousin, Jack Joseph, son of Courtney and John P. Mackin '91 of Westfield, N.J. Born December 3, 2004, Madeline is Pam and Rob's first child. Jack, born October 6, 2004, joins his big sister, Katie, and big brother, Matthew.
Carrie Grunkemeyer Robeson '95 and Matt Robeson of Richmond, Va., welcomed Payton Grace into the world on March 3. Payton was 6 pounds, 13 ounces, and 20.5 inches tall. She joins big brother, Griffin, and big sister, Whitney.
Meghan Sanders Ward and Jerry Ward of Monticello, Utah, are the proud parents of Hadley Griffith, born March 1. Hadley has joined her mom at work at the Four Corners School of Outdoor Education, a nonprofit that offers outdoor adventures on the Colorado Plateau.

Jonathan H. P. Anderson is an assistant state’s attorney for Cass County in Fargo, N.D. His job includes prosecuting drug crimes and juvenile delinquent cases. He lives in Fargo with his wife, Jeni.

Thomas “Curvin” Lovejoy of Greenwich, Conn., married Meredith Jill Berman in Southampton, N.Y. Curvin is an account executive at Walter Karl, infoUSA’s List Management and List Brokerage Division, and serves as a volunteer firefighter in the local Round Hill and Long Ridge Fire Companies.
While touring the University of Michigan last April, Elizabeth A. Thomson '96 of Chicago met Charles F. Behling, a former Lake Forest psychology professor. While on staff at the College, Liz was two-time recipient of the Charles Behling Award. She writes, "It was great to meet him in person!"
1997
In May 2005, Antonio P. Carvalho of Washington, D.C., successfully defended his thesis and graduated
from American Graduate School of International Relations and Diplomacy in Paris. Former France Prime Minister Alain Juppé addressed the graduating class at the Senate in Paris.
Jenifer Lovell Moreno, who competed in the 1992 Olympics and the 1991 World Championships and Pan American Games for rhythmic gymnastics, was inducted in the U.S.A. Gymnastics Hall of Fame on August 13.
Congratulations to Kimberly Hindes Schubert '97 and Jason A. Schubert '96 of Hummelstown, Pa. They are the proud parents of Mason Kevin, born January 30. Mason joins his big sister, Grace, who turned two in April.
1998
Sara C. Fiocchi graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois in May and accepted an internship at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M University in College Station.
After completing her MBA and a six-month internship, Luisa M. Loredo of Cedar Knolls, N.J., accepted a position with Merck & Company’s Global Marketing Management Program. Luisa is spending one year in the sales force before transferring to the company’s International Marketing Research Team.
1999
Kimberely C. Jurawan '99 married Daniel Loken in Denver in October 2004. Foresters in attendance included Sarah Thompson '99 and Leanne Hinders Hinkle '99. Kim and Daniel honeymooned in Tobago, one of Kim's two native country islands. Upon their return, Kim received a promotion to the position of trade director for the European region in the State of Colorado's International Trade Office. The couple lives in Denver with their dog, Wilson, and their cat, Samson.
On May 14, Amanda B. Mertens of Bristol, R.I., graduated from the Roger Williams University School of Law. Amanda interned at the United States Consulate-General in Munich; completed a judicial externship with the Honorable Mary M. Lisi in the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island; and clerked for Ursillo Teitz Ritch, Providence, R.I., and Stinson Morrison Hecker, Washington, D.C.
Captain Tegan Furlong Owen is serving active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps. She lives in Pearl City, Hawaii, with her husband, Joshua, and two sons, Kobi and Braden.
Cynthia and Aaron J. Vickar of St. Louis proudly announce the birth of their baby girl, Ainsley Grace. Born on March 18, Ainsley was 9 pounds, 10 ounces, and 21 inches long.
Piriya Vongkasemsiri '99 of Chicago married Andrew David Metcalfe on October 19, 2003. Most weekends, Piriya and Andy can be found plummeting toward the earth at 120+ mph at the local skydiving center.
2000
On May 30, 2004, Natalie K. Hartung '00 married Derek F. Domaleski '99 in Vail, Colo. Foresters in attendance included Jeremy P. Appleton '99, Diana M. Forman '00, Elizabeth K. Liebschutz '00, Brian J. Byrne '97, Melissa A. Glynn '00, Richard D. Nagle '93, COurtney Poynter Moline '00, Kara C. Esicar '00, Sam McKenney '96, and Bryan L. Desmond '93. Natalie is a photographer at Classic Kids in Winnetka. Derek is the director of instruction at Green to Tee Golf Academy in Glenview. They live in Chicago.
Artist Joshua P. Moulton of Chicago is enjoying great success. In 2004, an interior designer in New York City commissioned Josh to produce six paintings for a renovated space in Edinburgh, Scotland, and he exhibited his work at a solo show in Grosse Pointe, Mich. Last spring, Deloitte and Touche purchased two of his paintings for their new corporate office in Chicago, and Josh curated a show at the Landmark Arts Gallery in the West Loop. On June 12, Iliana Petkova Nikolova of Chicago received her MBA with concentrations in finance, strategic engagement, and entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business.

Christopher K. Durso began law school at St. Louis University in August.
On May 21, Aja A. Lystila graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Dr. Lystila began her family practice residency in July at the University of Illinois College of Medicine and Methodist Hospital in Peoria, Ill.
Congratulations to Jamie D. Madison '01, who married Raul Vasquez on April 9 at St. Mary of the Angels Church in Chicago. Foresters in attendance included Andrew P. Jamie teaches fifth grade at a Catholic school in Chicago and is finishing her master's degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Brian Morrow received his clinical doctorate in physical therapy and has started work for the Marianjoy Medical Group in Palos Heights, Ill.
Ben A. Mason of Libertyville, Ill., received his master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He now works at the department of community development in Algonquin.
Katherine Quigley relocated to Houston after her husband was offered a business development executive position with Net Matrix Solutions. She is happy to report, “We already love all the open space and sunshine!”
Kimberleigh Magee Zolnowski of Round Lake, Ill., graduated from DePaul University’s School of Education with a master’s degree in school guidance counseling. She is now a guidance counselor at Conant High School in Hoffman Estates.

Catherine A. Brummond of Westfield, N.J., recently completed her master’s degree in chemistry and is now working for Merck, a global research-driven pharmaceutical company.
Born June 9, 2004, Patrick Gilfeather, son of Amanda L. Gilfeather '02, displays his mother's affinity for the French language. The Gilfeathers live in Littleton, Mass., near where Amanda teaches French at McCarthy Middle School.
On July 24, 2004, Yelena V. Leonova '02 married Jake Lorman on the eighth floor of the Aon Center in Chicago. Many Foresters attended the celebration as did the family Yelena stayed with during her semester in Santiago, Chile. Foresters in the bridal party included Maria V. Wiatr '03, maid of honor Karina Elperin '00, Eugene Averbuch '04, and Eugenia Pavlenko '03. Yelena works as a senior analyst at HSBC Holdings. Jake is a computer professional at Fermi National Accelerator Lab. The couple lives in Chicago.
Sven Pinczewski recently moved to London.
Elly Mae Storch '02 and Lucas E. Sweet '02 were married on August 5, 2004, on Corpus Christi Beach, Texas. They celebrated their marriage with friends and family in St. Helens, Ore., and Lakeville, Minn. Elly and Luke attend graduate school at Texas A&M University and live in College Station.

Jessie P. Berg of Hallock, Minn., is pursuing a graduate degree in art history at the University of Arizona.
Janet C. Kapala of DeKalb, Ill., received her master’s degree in music from Northern Illinois University in May. During the summer, she taught clarinet at Naperville Central High School, particapted in DeKalb’s municipal band, and played in a production of the Hunchback of Notre Dame. She currently works as a laboratory technician at Monsanto Corporation.

After almost a year of study, Anne C. Morgan of Huntington, N.Y., earned a Reiki master’s degree. She now practices professionally as a certified Reiki master.
Kara B. Schonrank recently completed an animal-assisted therapy and education certification correspondence course from DePaul University and graduated from University of Oklahoma with a master’s degree in community counseling. Kara now lives in Bozeman, Mont., and works at Heart of the Valley Animal Center.

Diane M. Doran of Fairborn, Ohio, was awarded a graduate teaching assistantship at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and began her graduate study in microbiology and immunology this fall.
Charles E. Flower of Bexley, Ohio, currently attends Ohio State University on a full scholarship in their PhD program in ecology, evolution, and behavior.
AmeriCorps volunteer Lydia Groskin is currently working in New York at City Year, a nonprofit organization whose volunteers work in inner city schools, run after-school programs, and host community service days throughout the city.
