Three Weeks to go until our LFC reunion 1972!

Some of us have been to reunions where we know almost nobody there. This year does not appear to be one of those. People coming from the classes previous and after as well as ours.

I would like to suggest some opportunities for people who can't come this year:

The first thing is that if you call Bill Campbell within the next week or so, and say you can't come but are coming anyway! I will offer you, if I still have space, free room and board Thursday thru Sunday night and carpooling to and from campus and Fox Lake (see info below). If you act quickly, Sunday night you could have your own room. This also applies for your partner.

The second thing I would like you to call Bill's cell phone after Friday at 7:00 pm. 937-367-1247 during the weekend. The person holding the phone will be at the events and around campus and you can ask them to transfer you to somebody from the class attending or in the LFC directory. We will either give you the number of someone's cell phone at the reunion or at home.

The third thing is to be available at the phone you may have listed for yourself in the 2001 LFC directory over the weekend. If you are coming to the event over the weekend bring your cell phone and let Bill know you have it. Your weekend minutes are probably free.

Finally plan to really and truly come to next year's reunion with the people you talk to on the phone this year. I am proposing that you fail to attend this year, your real graduation because of a clerical error is actually 1973. Some of us are coming in 1973 and I hope you will also.

Reunion Highlights will include:

Class of 1972 Thursday-Friday-and Saturday Party
A number of 1972 Foresters have rented a house in Fox Lake, Illinois - 30 minutes from campus - during Homecoming weekend.

Now, we are all very old, keep in mind, and we don't party quite so vigorously as the old days but we would love to have people stop by to visit (BYO whatever legal consumable). If you have seen the Tom Cruse movie, "Risky Business," well, it won't be like that. This isn't Roberts Hall of old, but we want you and yours to feel free to stop by and have fun.

Music created before 1950 and after 1980 is strictly prohibited.
Most of us would like to go to events on campus and then come back to the house. We can offer carpooling.

We have and want to maintain a good place to stay for anyone who needs it. There is a state park with boat rentals nearby. The commuter train from west Lake Forest and Chicago is within walking distance.

Coffeehouse, Happy Hour & Reunion
Featuring Tuey Connell '90 and the Tuey Connell Band
Friday, October 5
4:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

One of the original creators of the Coffeehouse series, Tuey will fill the Mohr Student Center with his unique jazz rock sound.
The Happy hour includes open bar and heavy appetizers. 



Alumni Association Awards, Dinner and Dance
Saturday, October 6
6:00 p.m.
Great company, dinner and dancing.
Pre-dinner reception, plated dinner, open bar and dancing.
