Throughout the year we host several campus visit days, that may be convenient for you.  We will explain the admissions process, provide a tour, and give you a glance at the Lake Forest College experience.  Our upcoming visit days are:

An Individual Visit

To fully appreciate how Lake Forest College can nurture your intellectual and social growth we recommend spending at least a half-a-day with us during the week.  We can begin in the morning or early afternoon.  Please let us know how much time you can spend with us.

An ideal visit will let you see the College from various points of view, including: 

  • touring campus with a student guide;
  • visiting a class;
  • chatting with a faculty member;
  • interviewing with an admissions counselor;
  • eating lunch in our dining hall; and
  • possibly meeting with an athletic coach.

For students also interested in the sciences, we offer a tour specifically of the science facilities.

We are also open a limited number of Saturdays throughout the year.  A Saturday visit includes a conversation with an admissions counselor and tour of campus.Notes on Saturday Visits:

  • We offer a limited number of interviews to high school seniors and prospective transfer students.
  • Interviews are scheduled at 9 am, 9:45 am, and 10:30 am.  
  • High school juniors or younger prospective students are invited to attend a group information session at 11:15 am.
  • Campus tours for all visitors are scheduled at 10:00 am and 11:00 am.
  • The fall semester Saturday visit calendar is as follows: September 12, September 26, October 3, October 24, November 7, November 21, December 5, December 12

Scheduling a Group Visit

Many schools and organizations like to make Lake Forest College part of their college preparatory program.  We are glad to welcome groups and can provide short presentations on the college admissions process and how students can ready themselves for college. We also offer group tours, and can provide lunch options.  We ask that you complete our Group Visit Request Form, and we will be back in touch with the details of your visit.  You can also contact the Group Visit Coordinator directly at 847-735-5013.
